The Slowdown

Summer is nearing an end and I am feeling excited about the upcoming chaos and routine of a new school year. The unscheduled downtime of Summer doesn’t sit well with an over thinker/ over doer like me. I don’t do well in the downtime, the quiet idle time, the unplanned day. The contentment in peace and quiet is a virtue I never mastered and one I hope to instill in my crazy brain and in my children in this coming year. My ultimate life goal to find contentment in The Slowdown.
